Homemade Sloppy Joes

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 stalks celery chopped finely
  • cup yellow or white onion chopped finely
  • cup green pepper chopped finely, optional
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Hamburger Buns

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef with celery, onions and green pepper until beef is no longer pink and vegetables are soft and translucent
  2. Drain if necessary
  3. Add to Crockpot
  4. Add all other ingredients and stir to combine
  5. Cook for 2-3 hours or until heated through
  6. Serve immediately
  7. Store leftovers in the refrigerator
